Richard Kowalsky
There are so many things I learned from my father but the one that stands out more than any other is the fact that in the end, what says the most about every one of us is not what we own, or where we traveled, but the impact we have on others.
In a time where it is often common to live next door to someone for years and not even know their name, to see an entire town affected by the passing of one individual says more about them than volumes of achievements or stacks of trophies ever could.
I am more proud of my father than any 10 men, not just because he was my father, but because he really made a difference in the people who were lucky enough to know him. I was, and I am better for it.
