Kelly and I spent many afternoons enjoying each other's company, cleaning the house for children's parties and Girl Scout functions, talking about our children's escapades, and sometimes praying. One afternoon I was sharing with Kelly how excited I was to find a very expensive Bible at an estate sale. I explained that the woman hosting the sale said it was her husband's. He had recently passed away, and she knew he would have wanted someone to make good use of it. She would not take money for the book. She insisted that I take it. A few days later, I found a gift bag on my poarch. Inside the bag was a beautiful, zip-up, Bible cover/carrier. Inside the bag was a note from Kelly. How she knew what size to buy, I will never know, but it fit perfectly. I still use the same Bible and it still has the same cover. She was a sweet lady.
