Robert A. Webber, 69, a lifetime resident of the Harbor, died at Grays Harbor Health and Rehabilitation Center, Aberdeen, Tuesday, May 1, 2018.
Bob was born in Raymond, WA, the son of Delbert and Lucille (Aiken) Webber, September 24, 1948. He was raised in Aberdeen and had graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1966. He entered the US Army during the Viet Nam era and returned to work for Grays Harbor Veneer in the 1970s. He would then work for ITT Rayonier and the Aberdeen Fire Department before becoming an officer with the Hoquiam Police Department for 11 years, retiring in 1985 with disabililty.
Bob was a member of the Eagles Aerie of Hoquiam and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Hoquiam.
He is survived by 2 daughters: Bobette Webber, Elma and Kristen Bratlie, Echo, OR; 2 sons: Kenneth Webber, Seattle and Patrick Davidson, Dayton, WA; a brother: Richard Webber, Copalis Crossing; and also 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Ronald.
An urn committal will be held at 2 PM Friday, May 25th, in Fern Hill Cemetery, Aberdeen.
