Stanley Francis Wagner, Jr., 68, an Ocean Shores resident, died at his home there Friday, December 11, 2015. He was born in Elmira, NY on July 10, 1947, the son of Stanley F., Sr. and Vada (Miller) Wagner.
At the age of 12 he moved with the family to Palm Beach, FL and came to Oregon when he was 21. He met Mollie Farnworth Etzel there and they travelled throughout the United State and Canada working their way as they went. They settled in Ocean Shores in 1980. They were married in Aberdeen on April 22, 1996.
Stanley worked in landscaping, particularly on golf courses. When he came to Ocean Shores he continued caring for lawns and yards.
He was a master beach comber collecting fish net glass balls. He knew the secret of timing storms and tides to find them.
Besides his wife, Mollie, Stanley is survived by a son, Brian and wife Michelle Wagner, Gervais, OR; a daughter, Tami Wagner, Salem, OR; a sister, Carol Wagner, Lake Worth, FL; and also four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Family services are planned for a later time.
