Kenneth Wayne Taylor, Kenny, to all that knew him, died Sunday, October 23rd, 2011, at his home in Aberdeen, Washington. Kenny, 51 years of age at the time of his death, was born March 30, 1960 in Aransas Pass, Texas, which is a small town outside of Corpus Christi, Texas. Kenny, born to Edward Albert Taylor SR, and Annie Lee Taylor, was the youngest of seven children and joined a family of near feudal ancestry. As a teenager, Kenny worked in the fishing industry in the Gulf of Mexico, but following his father’s death, moved to the Portland, Oregon area where after a number of odd jobs, began his career with Clow Roofing Company. He continued to work in the roofing industry until health conditions caused early retirement. While in the Portland area, Kenny married Karen Williams and was married for a number of years but later divorced. He eventually moved to the Aberdeen, Washington area where he lived out his remaining years with his longtime companion, Pam Connolly and her family.
Kenny was a traditionalist by nature. He had many interests and collected a variety of things, but his greatest joy was his family. He always remembered loved one’s birthdays and never forgot to call.
Kenny was survived by two daughters: Amanda Taylor of Alaska, and Ladonna and her husband Michael James of Kake, Alaska; two brothers: Ed and Kim Taylor of Redding California, and Richard “Ricky” Taylor of Washington; a sister, Lou Ellen and her husband Elmer “Buddy” Williams of Milwaukie, Oregon; Longtime companion, Pam Connolly of Aberdeen, Washington; Step-daughters: Misty J. Brown and Dannielle Connolly; Grandchildren: Zoey, Makiya, and Lillian James; Step grandchildren: Christina, Mysti, and Cassie Brown. Kenny was preceded in death by a brother Jackson Eugene Taylor, two sisters: Joanne Schnelle and Edna “Squeaky” Brother, and a step-son, Aaron Williams.
