Theressa Ann “Terri” Swanson, 72, Hoquiam resident and former Environmental Services Technician for Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen, died Friday, August 6, 2021 at her home in Hoquiam.
Terri was born on April 22, 1949 in Bremerton, WA to Adrian Duane and Margaret (Fraisure) Cleveland. Her first couple years were spent in Allyn, WA and then her family moved to Camp Grisdale. She attended school in Camp Grisdale and then attended Montesano High School. She moved to Shelton when she was age 25 and she then moved to Wishkah Valley and to Aberdeen in 91’ and then back to Shelton before moving to Hoquiam three years ago.
She worked for Alpine Convalescent in Shelton in Housekeeping for 10 years, retiring in 2016 and before that at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen for 14 years.
Terri enjoyed camping, being outdoors, spending time with grandkids, puzzle books and watching Mariners and Deadliest Catch. She is preceded in death by her grandson Marshal Jones.
Terri is survived by a son, Jamie (Terri) Jones of North Platte, NE and a daughter Renia (Lance) Vervalen of Hoquiam; two brothers: Tom (Brenda) Cleveland of Shelton and David Cleveland of Montesano; Chris Cleveland and Friend Syd Shepard of Spanaway and Janet (Bill) Harman of Shelton; grandchildren: Jeff (Paige Mitchell) Gilbert, Andrew (Mikala) Friedrich and Amber Friedrich; Great Grandchildren: Victoria Gilbert, Brynne, Corbin, Emersyn and Henderson Friedrich.
Per her request, there will be no services.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, WA.
