Barbara Jean Snider, 64, a forty year resident of Westport, WA, died Friday morning, June 10, 2011 at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen.
Barbara was born on December 8, 1946 in Olympia, WA to Donald Walter and Bessie E. (Langmaid) Trotland. She grew up in Tumwater and graduated from Tumwater High School in 1965.
Barbara moved to Westport in 1970 where she worked in various offices, Westport City Hall, Harbor Home Health & Hospice, The Beach Clinic in Westport and retired in 1990.
In 1972, Barbara married Robert James Snider in Westport.
She was a member of South Beach Presbyterian Church and a member of the Westport Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary. She liked to read and crochet as well as camping.
Barbara is survived by her husband Jim and two sons; Steven John (Tiffany Endler) of Atlanta, Georgia, and James Snider (Erin Snider) of Westport, WA.; a brother, Steven Eric Trotland of Silverton, WA and six granddaughters, Chelsea, Christin, Alyssa, Caitlin, Erika and Emily.
Barbara was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother who will dearly be missed.
