David Eugene Sletten, 63, a longtime Grays Harbor resident and former mill worker for ITT Rayonier, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at his home in Elma, WA.
David was born on June 21, 1949 to Glen and Francis (Hawk) Sletten in Aberdeen. He grew up in Hoquiam and graduated from Hoquiam High School. He worked for 20 years at ITT from 1969 to 1989. He also enjoyed restoring old cars.
David is survived by his five daughters: Tracey Benavidez of Hoquiam, Joli Sletten of Aberdeen, Janell Klinger of Montesano, Kirsten Stanley of Montesano and Holly Kola of Aberdeen; Nine grandchildren; A brother, Norman Israel of Shelton; two sisters: Glendora Dillon and Virginia Moline both of Olympia. A brother Rick Sletten preceded David in death.
There will be a private family graveside services for David. He will be inurned with his brother Rick at Sunset Memorial Park in Hoquiam at a later date.
