Michelle Lee Sherwood, 46, a lifetime resident of the Harbor, died at Hartstine Island, WA this last week. Michelle was born in Aberdeen, May 29, 1967, the daughter of Carlos E., Jr. and Nancy B. (Bissell) Taylor.
Michelle attended Hoquiam schools and graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1986. She had been a beautician and then was a licensed real estate agent. She had become a licensed in-home caregiver and was continuing her education in this field in Shelton, where she had lived for the last six months.
After high school, Michelle had married Michael Peak and would later marry Mark Sherwood. Both marriages had ended in divorce.
Michelle liked to cook, being at the cabin at Lake Nahwatzel and as a “people person” being among friends.
She is survived by a daughter: Katie Lynn Sherwood, Hoquiam; a sister: Wendy Sherman, Aberdeen; and her mother and step-father: Nancy B. Taylor and Ken McDonald, Hoquiam.
A celebration of Michelle’s life will be held at 1 PM Friday, January 24th at the Light and Life Community Church, Hoquiam. Reverend Brad Gill, pastor of the church, will officiate. A reception will follow in the church parlors. Private inurnment will take place in Fern Hill Cemetery.
