Brycen Dale Rustemeyer, 17, Malone resident and a member Elma High School Class of 2017, died Monday, May 9, 2016 at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma, Washington following his battle with Leukemia.
Brycen was born on October 20, 1998 in Olympia to Jason and Melissa (Maier) Rustemeyer. He grew up in the Elma area where he excelled at sports.
He was a member of the Elma Eagles Baseball, Football and Powerlifting teams. He was also a coach for the fall Little League baseball program. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and playing with his dogs. He liked hanging with his friends and spending time with his family.
Brycen is survived by his parents: Jason and Melissa of Malone; a brother, Brody of Malone; grandmother, Kim Miller of McCleary and his great grandpa, Ron Routh of Chehalis.
There will be a time of visitation and viewing on Friday, May 20th from 1-8 PM at Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 21st at 10 AM in Abundant Life Church, 100 Tech Way at the Satsop Development Park, Elma. Graveside service will follow at Masonic Cemetery, Elma. A reception will take place following at the Elma Fairgrounds Pavilion.
