Mary Louise Richardson, 76, lifetime Aberdeen resident and former bookkeeper for her husband’s business, William Richardson, Inc., lost her battle with cancer on thursday, July 10, 2014 at her home with her family beside her.
Mary was born on August 10, 1937 in Aberdeen, the daughter of Wilhelm and Elvira (Swanson) Erickson. She graduated from Weatherwax high School in 1955 and on June 25, 1955, married William Mac ‘Bill’ Richardson at Calvary Lutheran Church in Aberdeen.
She was a homemaker raising her family, but did help out her husband as the bookkeeper at his business. She had also worked the candy counter at Kresses Department Store in the 60’s.
Mary really loved to work the stock market and play with her stocks. She was a member of the Aberdeen Stock Club and the Wishkah Homemakers. She like to do ceramics, going shopping at Costco, get togethers with the family, but she loved her stocks most of all.
Mary is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bill Richardson of Aberdeen; Sons: John and wife Roxanne Richardson of Wishkah Valley and James Richardson also of Wishkah Valley; a daughter, Diana and husband Ken Swanson of Elma; a sister Peggy Fredericks of Aberdeen; Ten grandchildren: John Eric Richardson, Christian James Richardson, Matthew Crawford Richardson, Michaela Sarai Richardson, Samantha Loraine Richardson, Shannon Marie Swanson, Michael William and wife Tawna Richardson, Jeffery Allen Richardson, Sarah Nicole Richardson and Matthew James Richardson; Two great granddaughters: Cadance Richardson and Kaylee Richardson. She was preceded in death by her brother Bill Erickson.
There will be a time of visitation on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 1-8 PM at Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen. Graveside will take place on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 1 PM in Fern Hill Cemetery, Aberdeen.
