Richard Patrick Nixon, 71, a longtime resident of Aberdeen, Washington, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, February 6, 2025.

Richard was born on December 1, 1953, in Ephrata, Washington, to Laurence and Peggy (Deary) Nixon. His family moved to Aberdeen when he was a young boy. He was raised in the Harbor area, attending St. Mary Elementary and later graduating from JM Weatherwax High School.

Richard had a deep passion for music and spent his career playing in various bars and venues from Aberdeen to Seattle. Additionally, he worked as a security guard for the Quinault Beach Resort and Casino for over 20 years, retiring in 2022. He was also a proud member of the Grays Harbor Gun Club. Music was his life, and he was talented in playing the keyboard, harmonica, and bass guitar.

Richard is survived by his son, Eric Lucas, of Aberdeen, Washington, and his brother, Ronald Nixon, also of Aberdeen.
