Theordore T. “Ted” Reynvaan, 87, a resident of Hoquiam for most of his life, died at the Washington Veterans Home at Retsil, Sunday, May 13, 2018. He was born in Hoquiam, April 14, 1931, the son of Ted F. and Lillian A. (Kegley) Reynvaan. He graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1949 and received an AA degree from Grays Harbor College. He had served the United States Marine Corps.
Ted was a trooper for the Washington State Patrol and was stationed at North Bend and Hoquiam. He worked as an insurance adjuster in the 1960’s and worked for Mayr Brothers in Hoquiam until he retired.
He was a member of the WSP Retired Employees. He liked to golf, hunt and fish, and would write a book about his USMC experiences, “Boys of Company B”.
Ted is survived by three sons: Michael T. and wife Gale Reynvaan, Seattle, Jeff A. Reynvaan, Grapeview, WA and Scott D. and wife Melinda Reynvaan, Bainbridge Island, WA; two daughters: Lisa Reynvaan-Hawes and husband Jeff Hawes, Seattle and Juli A. Reynvaan and husband Dr. Tim Verharen, Bainbridge Island; a sister: Shirley Dainoith, Montesano; and also 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his former wives, Anne Malinowski Reynvaan Graves, Bainbridge Island and Sharon Lee (Johnson) Reynvaan, Hoquiam.
At Ted’s request there will be no formal memorial services.
