August 21, 1932 — July 25, 2012

Arthur Alonzo Ramsey, 80, former HVAC Engineer for the State of Washington Capital Campus and former resident of Central Park, WA, died Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen.

Arthur was born on August 21, 1932 in Tenino, WA to Melborne Henry and Lula Bell (Case) Ramsey. He graduated from Tenino High School. He joined the Air Force and upon his Honorable Discharge returned to the Olympia area and went to work for the State of Washington as an HVAC Engineer from 1962 until his retirement in the early 90’s.

Arthur had moved from the Olympia area to Central Park 35 years ago and then to Aberdeen 2 years ago.

Arthur married Opal (Grunow) Bagnell in Reno, NV on May 1, 1994. She later died on December 23, 2008. Arthur had previously been married to Darlene J. Davis in 1954, she passed in 1976.

He loved traveling and especially enjoyed Hawaii.

Arthur is survived by 2 sons: Raymond and wife Anna Ramsey of Aberdeen, and James Ramsey of Westport; a daughter, Kathy Frazer of Aberdeen; stepson, Gordon Bagnell of Summit Lake and a stepdaughters: Georgia Bagnell and Sue Bagnell; Seven grandchildren: Bryce, Aaron, Jennifer, Michael, Kimberly, Cory and Kraig; Ten Great Grandchildren. Arthur was preceded in death by two brothers: Cecil H. Ramsey and Melvin H. Ramsey and a stepdaughter, Patti Bagnell.

A celebration of life will be held at 3 PM Saturday September 8th at the Polish Club in Aberdeen.
