David Lee Price, Sr., 66, a resident of Aberdeen since 1959 and former mill worker for Hoquiam Plywood, died Monday, June 6, 2011 at Seattle VA Medical Center.
David was born on January 13, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri to Dallas O. and Martha (Bloodsoe) Price. He lived there for 10 years until his family moved to Yakima, WA and then to Aberdeen. In 1963, He joined the Army and was Honorably Discharged in 1965.
David worked for Evans Plywood, Hoquiam Plywood and E C Miller Plywood from which he retired. He enjoyed listening to music and was an avid collector of Elvis Memorabilia.
David is survived by a daughter: Staci Ann of Aberdeen; two sons: David Lee Jr. and Vincent John and wife Julia, all of Aberdeen; a brother: Clarence L. and wife Becky Price of Hoquiam; a soul mate: Thelma Price, nine grandchildren, three great grandsons, numerous nieces and nephews, and five stepchildren David was preceded in death by a son, Michael A. Price, a brother: Kenneth R. Price and a sister: Rosie M. DeLaMeter.
A time of visitation will be Monday from 9 am to 2 pm at Fern Hill Funeral Home. A funeral services will follow at 2 PM in Fern Hill’s Chapel with reception to follow in Fern Hill’s Dorothy Mann Reception Room.
