Aileen Ruth “Peggy” Pratt, 83, a Hoquiam resident, died at an Auburn hospital Wednesday, July 31, 2013. She was born August 29, 1929 in Aberdeen, the daughter of Claire and Alice (Vickers) Markley. She was raised in the Wishkah Valley and had attended schools there.
In 1948 she married George A. Pratt and they had made their home in Ocosta for 50 years. She had been a homemaker and had also worked seasonally at Ocean Spray at Markham. Mr. Pratt died in Olympia in 1998.
Peggy is survived by a son, Russell L. Pratt, Lynnwood, WA, and four grandchildren and two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Two sons, Steven and Dennis Pratt, and a brother, Robert N. Markley, preceded her in death.
Private inurnment was held in Fern Hill Cemetery, Aberdeen.
