Irwina Tamar Nelson, 75, former resident of Moses Lake, WA, died Monday evening, November 25, 2013 at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen, WA.

Irwina was born on June 27, 1938 to Paul and Mary Alice (McCarty) Williams in Yakima, WA. She grew up in Maple Valley and at the age of 16 moved to Ephrata to help on the family farm. Ten years ago she moved to Brady, WA and then to Hoquiam, WA two years ago.

Irwina married Sharon Stocks Nelson. He passed on July 1, 2012 in Aberdeen.

Irwina was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She liked to sing, write poetry, sew and go camping in the mountains. She also loved to cook and learn new things. She was an avid reader.

Irwina is survived by her sons: Shanon R. and wife Marian Nelson of Ephrata, Gary W. Nelson of North Port, WA, Vonn A. and wife Dawn Nelson of Stanley, ND and Allen J. and wife Turi Nelson of Naches, WA; Daughters: Klista M. and husband Rodrigo Garcia of Warden, WA, Kolene M. Brooks of Kennewick, WA, Tamara L. and husband Philip Bellew of Satsop, WA and Ti J. Nelson of Kennewick, WA; Brothers: William Milton Williams of Walla Walla, WA and Lonnie and wife Yolanda Williams of El Mirage, AZ; two daughter-in-laws: Tina Nelson of Moses Lake, Wa and Carrie Nelson of Texas; Forty grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Irwina was preceded in death by two sons: Ronnie D. Nelson and Roy L. Nelson; Two brothers: Roger Williams and Lauren Williams; two sisters: Fauntella Jardiine and Flavia Bennett.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11 AM Saturday, November 30th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 925 N. Grape Dr., Moses Lake, WA.
