Mikkel Orville Moe, 56, a longtime resident of Westport, WA and former Commercial Fisherman, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen.
Mikkel was born on August 3, 1955 in San Luis Obispo, CA to Norman A. and Jeanette (Leen) Moe. They moved to South Bend, WA where he attended South Bend High School. He later graduated form Grays Harbor Community College in Aberdeen with a Vocational Degree as a Diesel Mechanic. He worked as a Commercial Fisherman, crabbing off the Washington Coast and Alaska. He enjoyed sport fishing, especially salmon fishing and anything to do with being out on the water.
Mikkel is survived by two sons: Justin and Kris; Five grandchildren: Marissa, Bethany, Karlie, Lacey and Tyler; his father, Norman Moe of Montesano; two brothers: Norton and wife Cathy Moe of Bremerton and James Moe of Montesano; a sister Janice and husband Jan Undem of Central Park, WA. He was preceded in death by his mother Jeanette, a brother John Moe and his longtime companion Robyn Baliss.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date and notices will be published.
