Jaime Marie Mayr went to the Lord on July 14, 2021 in Seattle, Washington after a short illness. She was born on May 30, 1984. She grew up on the banks of the lower Wishkah River next door to her Grandpa Mayr on one side, and her cousins the Nelsons across a little foot bridge on the other side. As children, Jaime, her siblings, and cousins enjoyed going to Grandpa’s house and raiding the candy drawer (as if grandpa didn’t know).
Jaime graduated from St. Mary School and then Aberdeen High School in 2002. She continued her education at Seattle University, graduating with Bachelor degrees in Biology and Chemistry. She then attended the University of Southern California where she was conferred a degree of Doctor of Physical Therapy.
Jaime worked as a Physical Therapist in Southern California, Hoquiam, and the Seattle area and also was certified as an instructor in Pure Barre and taught classes. Jaime enjoyed her work and had empathy with her patients. She was also not shy about setting up exercise programs for family members.
Jaime enjoyed hiking and had hiked many of the trails in the Olympics and Snoqualmie Pass area. She also enjoyed running and bicycle riding. While she was attending school in California, Jaime and her dad hiked the Grand Canyon on spring break.
Jaime will be remembered as a driven and happy person. She is survived by her mother Teresa and father Tom of Aberdeen, her sister Rachael, and brother Tony (Amanda) of Nashville. She is also survived by her nephews Cole and Camden; uncle Curt, aunts Linda (Pat), Karen, and Mary (Steve); cousins, Amy, Heather, Alyssa, Parker, Shannon, Brooke, Megan, Kelly and Alex. Jaime is also survived by Max her beloved dog of 11 years.
A Funeral Mass for Jaime will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aberdeen at 11:00 AM on July 22, 2021. The Mass will be proceeded by recitation of the Rosary at 10:30 AM. A Committal Service will immediately follow the Funeral Mass at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary School Aberdeen.
Arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, WA.
