Lynda Jean Maxwell, 59, former Harbor resident, died at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia on Tuesday, September 6, 2011. Lynda was born in Bunch, Oklahoma, April 9, 1952, the daughter of Howard and Violet (Gibson) Maxwell. She graduated from high school in Tulsa, OK in 1970.
Lynda came to the Harbor in the early 1970’s and had worked at the hospital in Aberdeen for a few years. She established Maxwell’s Salon in Olympia 30 years ago and was operating at the time of her death.
She was a member of the Olympia Eagles and attended Capital Christina Center, Lacey. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and specialized in cooking.
Lynda is survived by her daughter, Monique Maxwell of Portland, OR.
She was a great member of the community and was always willing to help anyone out however she could. She was an amazing person and mother and will always be remembered that way
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 1 PM at Fern Hill Funeral Home Chapel, Aberdeen, WA. Private inurnment was in Fern Hill Cemetery.
