Margaret Anne Ramsdell

Margaret “Margie” Anne Ramsdell, 58, lifetime Grays Harbor resident passed away on Monday, March, 31, 2025, at her home in Aberdeen, Washington.

Margie was born on May 21, 1966, in Aberdeen, Washington to parents Wayne Ramsdell and Katherine Chicano. Margie and her 2 sisters, Linda and Laurie, were raised in Aberdeen, where Margie graduated from JM Weatherwax high school in 1984. During her teenage years, she worked for various restaurants and quick service restaurant chains. In 1995, Margie married William Burkett. They continued to live in the Harbor, eventually bringing their only daughter, Nicole, into the world. While raising a family, she was employed with Lakeside Industries as an operator and laborer. The family later moved to Olympia, Washington in 2001. Margie then attended certified nursing assistant classes to obtain her CNA, then worked for Mother Joseph’s Rehabilitation Center. In 2006, Margie and William divorced, and in 2010, she came back to Aberdeen where she remained until her passing.

Margie was quite the chef, she loved to cook and excelled in her abilities. She also enjoyed canning, gardening, fishing, clam digging, and camping trips with her family. Margie was delighted to go fishing with her father and spending quality time together.

Margie is survived by her daughter, Nicole (Phillip) Woodard, of Rochester, Washington; grandchild, Silas Woodard; father Wayne and stepmother Linda Ramsdell; sisters: Linda (Robert Olsen) Ramsdell, and Laurie (Scott) Pierce, both of Aberdeen, Washington; step-brother, Roland (Barb) Guined, of Hoquiam, Washington; step-sister, TyeRae (Jesse) Guined, of Lacey, Washington; nieces: Marissa and Madison; nephews: Russell, Aaron, John, Jake, Joey, Brandon, Jakobe. She is also survived by many other grandnieces and grandnephews, along with other family and friends who loved Margie deeply.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 12:00 PM (Noon) located at The Cosmopolis Lions Club. 601 2nd St., Cosmopolis, WA 98537.
