Lindsay Nicole Lewis, 40 of Tacoma, Washington passed away on May 14th, 2023, in Seattle WA.

She was born October 19th, 1982, in Seattle, WA. She attended McClure Middle school in Seattle. When she was 12, she won a Young Author’s award and was invited to New York to receive this award and the book of poetry her entry was published in. She attended Kirkland Jr./Sr. High School. Lindsay was a beautiful creative soul; she was intelligent and always at the top of her class. She had many interests and talents and found it hard to choose a career path. She attended Pierce College for her dental technician certification. She attended beauty school in Tacoma and received her cosmetology license. She also worked at the Westport Shipyard as an apprentice electrician. She enjoyed painting in her spare time. In 2009 Lindsay married Kenneth Ashby in Kona, Hawaii. The couple lived in Aberdeen, Washington.

Lindsay and Kenneth welcomed their beautiful baby boy, Kristar, in July of 2010. She then became a stay-at-home mom, she was able to focus on her son, she was an excellent mother and attended the Church of Christ in Aberdeen regularly. Lindsay and Ken later divorced. Lindsay purchased a home in Tacoma for her and Kristar. She went back to Pierce College, she was part of the honor society, Phi theta Kappa, she worked part-time as a cosmetologist and was a single mom. She had a talent of writing, loved to sing, as an Adult she turned her poems to lyrics and she worked on completing a hip-hop/ rap genre album of her own and when she finished it, she was invited to Texas to have it professionally recorded. She was headstrong, genuine, funny, spiritual, sensitive and generous. Her son Kristar was the light of her life. She loved her family and close friends, those that really knew her, loved her dearly and will never forget her. Our family thanks you for your support during this difficult time and coming to remember Lindsay, she is at peace now and finally home.
