Travis James Lawrence, 15, a lifelong resident of Montesano, died at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle, Friday, March 23, 2012. He was born in Aberdeen, February 3, 1997, the son of James L. and Nancy M. (Hackney) Lawrence.
Travis was a student at Montesano High School and enjoyed track, cross country and football.
Travis loved spending time with his friends, which seemed to be everyone he met, and his family. Some of his hobbies were hunting, riding quads, bonfires, longboarding and playing with his dog Zoey. Travis always spread smiles and hugs wherever he went. His current passion was restoring his 1969 Ford Falcon Sports Coupe with his dad.
Besides his parents, Jim and Nancy Lawrence of Montesano, Travis is survived by two sisters: Hillary and Haley Lawrence, Montesano; and his grandmothers: Kathy Hackney, Olympia and Marie Lawrence, Montesano; his aunts and uncles: Marlys (Bruce) Selleg, Dave (Mary) Lawrence and Cindy (Dave) McClendon. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Jerry Hackney and Robert Lawrence.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 PM Sunday, April 1st at the Grays Harbor Foursquare Church, 4800 Central Park Drive, Aberdeen.
