Jean Ellen Korus, 58, McCleary resident and owner of Auntie’s House daycare, died Thursday morning, March 2, 2017 at her home in McCleary, WA.
Jean was born on July 26, 1959 in Superior, Montana to Arland and Eileen (Griffin) Adams. She grew up in McCloud, CA where she graduated from McCloud High School in 1977. In 1979, she moved to Tacoma, WA and on July 17, 1982, she married Charles ‘Chuck’ Korus. He resides at the family home.
They moved to McCleary in 1987 where she opened Auntie’s House Daycare and has operated it ever since. She enjoyed watching kids and riding on Chuck’s motorcycle.
Jean is survived by her husband of 34 years, Charles ‘Chuck’ korus of McCleary; two sons: Charles (Tasha) Korus III of Virginia and Lawerence Korus of Maple Valley, WA; parents: Arland and Eileen Adams of Redding, CA; a brother, Jim Adams of Weed, CA and two sisters: Jeanet (Jeff) Boomgarden of Eureka, CA and JoMae (Dana) Boney of Dover, Delaware; two grandchildren: Abigail Ellise Korus and Ellie Jean Korus-Wetmore.
There will be a time of remembrance on Saturday, March 11th at Noon in the McCleary VFW Hall.
