Frances Theresa Jonason, 73, a lifetime resident of the Harbor, died at Grays Harbor Community Hospital, Aberdeen, Saturday, June 20, 2015. She was born in Aberdeen, October 4, 1941, the daughter of Clyde and Jospehine (Kroll) Capps.
She was a graduate of Weatherwax High School in 1960 and was married to Chester Jonason in Aberdeen on November 19, 1961. He died in Cosmopolis, March 11, 2013.
Frances had worked in the kitchen at Grays Harbor Community Hospital and had also been an Avon representative for a while.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Hoquiam, the Fern Rebekah Lodge, No. 26, Montesano and the Birthday Club. She enjoyed gardening, picking blackberries and making jelly, was also a Mariner and Seahawks fan and loved her cat, Sasha.
Frances is survived by a daughter and husband, Elaine and Kyle Imler, Hoquiam; a step-daughter: Judy Barzak in California; and two grandchildren. A step-daughter, Ilene Thomas, died before her.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30AM Wednesday, July 1st at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1200 Soule St., Hoquiam.
