Robert James Jenkins, 43, a builder of log furniture for JK Log Furniture in Montesano and avid Harley rider, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 following a tragic motorcycle accident in Aberdeen.
Robert was born on May 7, 1970 in Aberdeen to Eugene L. and Lura M. (White) Jenkins. He was a lifetime resident of Aberdeen and attended Aberdeen schools.
Robert worked with his brother James at JK Log Furniture for 14 years.
He loved making log furniture and fishing, loved riding his hogs and quads. He was a loyal friend and would give the shirt or shoes he had on if you needed them.
Robert is survived by his children: Jessi Jenkins of Aberdeen, Hayleagh Jenkins and Matthew Hoffman of South Carolina; his mother Lura Jenkins of Tonasket, WA; brothers: James of Montesano and Keith of Westport; nephews: Jeremiah and Kristian. Robert was preceded in death by two brothers: Glen and Gene.
There will be a celebration of life held on Sunday, October 27th at 3 PM in St. Andrew’s Episcopal church fellowship hall. Please bring any photo’s you might have of Robert with you to share. If you would like them back, put your name and number on the back of the photo for return.
