Eunice Huntsman

December 2, 1915 — July 14, 2011

Eunice Margaret Huntsman, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Montesano Health & Rehab in Montesano, Washington. She was born on December 2, 1915 in Aberdeen to Joseph and Eva Louiso.

Eunice is survived by her daughters: Janis and husband Lloyd Wade of Central Park and Judy McBeth of Gresham, OR; Grandson, Christopher Anderson of Central Park; Great Granddaughter Zoe Anderson of Aberdeen; Sisters: Catherine Jones of Aberdeen, Grace Collins (Vaughn) and husband Rudy of Leavenworth, WA. Preceding Eunice in death was her son: Terry Huntsman, a brother Samuel Louis and a sister Dorothy Dobbins.

Eunice attended Weatherwax High School and graduated in 1933.

On May 24, 1941, Eunice married Harry R. Huntsman in Longview, WA. He died on March 29, 2006. She worked for Art Smith Fuel Co and for Sears and after she was married she became a homemaker.

Eunice loved gardening and she and Harry grew many varieties of Rhododendrons. Eunice was a member of the Son‘s of Italy, Garden Club, Rhododendron Society and Geology Club and St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Eunice enjoyed time spent in Northern California where we gathered for family reunions on the Huntsman Side.

Eunice spent four years living at Channel Pointe and made many friends.

There will be a time of visitation and viewing for Eunice on Thursday, July 21st from 1-8 PM in Fern Hill Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place on Friday, July 22nd at 11 AM in Fern Hill Cemetery, Aberdeen.

The memorial service will take place on Friday, July 29th at 11 AM in Light

& Life Community Church in Hoquiam.

The family suggests that donations be made to Light & Life Community Church, 2740 Sumner Ave, Hoquiam, WA 98550.
