Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Keith Ray Gallington, Sr., died at Grays Harbor Community Hospital, Aberdeen, Friday, December 16, 2011. He was born in Aberdeen, January 25, 1935, the son of Henry and Josephine (Laverne) Gallington. He graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1952 and began his long career at Rayonier Pulp Mill in 1953 and retired after 52 years from Grays Harbor Paper at the age of 72 in 2007.
Keith was married to Betty Hagstrom in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Aberdeen, on May 6, 1960. Betty survives at the family home in Central Park. He is also survived by three sons: Keith, Jr. and wife Laura, Montesano, William, Tacoma and Dan, Seal Rock, OR; a daughter: Denise Mucha and husband Michael, Olympia; a niece: Marge Dunston and husband Larry, Elma; and 9 grandchildren: Beth Knodel, Taryn, Courtney, Lauren, Eion, William, Jr., Timothy and Emille Gallington, Danielle LaBonte and Patrick Mucha; and also 5 great grandchildren.
Keith enjoyed camping, traveling to Las Vegas and Reno with family. He liked working in the garden and yard, was a sports fan and enjoyed going to watch local high school sports. His cat, Mouse, was a joy in his life. His most recent travels took him on a cruise to Alaska with his wife and brother-in-law in 2009; and his last big adventure was going to Maui with his wife, and daughter and son-in-law in 2010.
A celebration of Keith’s life will be held from noon to 3 P.M. on Sunday, January 29th at the Montesano Moose Lodge.

His family would like to give their heartfelt thank yous to Dr. Gibbs and his office staff, his Dr. and girls at the Wound Center and the 2nd and 3rd floor nurses at Community Hospital for all their warmth and support.
