Larry Allen Fredericks, 67, lifetime Aberdeen resident and former postal carrier for the Aberdeen Post Office, died Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.
Larry was born on April 24, 1947 in Aberdeen, WA to Frank Albert and Gloria Marguerite (Erickson) Fredericks. He graduated from Aberdeen’s Weatherwax High School in 1965. He then went to work for Anderson-Middleton. Larry served in the Army from 1969-1971. Then went to work for the US Postal Service and retired in 2000. But he was not someone to just sit back and relax after retirement, he always had some project that he was working on or tinkering with.
Larry LOVED to fish, and would take the family camping on the Hoh River so that he could fish while the family camped. He also had a lot at the Wynoochee Wildwood with his parents, where the whole family would spend time together during the summers.
Larry is survived by twin daughters: Nena and her husband Brett Hanson of Olympia and Sheri and her husband Dave Rufener of Tumwater; Five grandchildren: Tiana, Kamryn, Connor, Riley and Ethan; His mother, Gloria ‘Peggy’ Fredericks of Hoquiam and a brother Gary and his wife Dawn Fredericks of Kent, WA.
A private graveside inurnment will take place at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen at a later date.
