Selina Franke, 94, a resident of Westport for 33 years, died at Grays Harbor Community Hospital, Aberdeen, Tuesday, February 19, 2013. She was born in Sheffield, England, August 22, 1918, the daughter of Theophilus and Ethel (Wilson) Howell.
Selina married Harold Franke in Sheffield, May 7, 1945 and they came to Monroe, WA where she had seasonally worked for Picksweet Packing Co. They came to Westport in 1979 and she was active in the Westport Veterans of Foreign Wars. Harold died here in 1994.
Selina enjoyed bingo, bowling, gardening, crochet and baking for the VFW bake sales.
She is survived by a niece, Thelma Jacobson, Puyallup.
A private inurnment with her husband Harold will take place in Monroe, WA.
The family suggests memorials may be made to the Westport VFW Memorial Fund.
