Lynda Marie Fitzgerald, 77, longtime Elma resident and former homemaker passed away on Wednesday, May 1 2024, surrounded by her husband and family in Elma, Washington.
Lynda was born on December 26, 1946, in Seattle, Washington to James and Joyce (Brewer) Teasley. She attended Franklin High School. A few years later, she met Arthur ‘Art’ Fitzgerald, and they married on February 11, 1967, in Elma, Washington. The couple moved to Elma, where they spent many years raising a family. They had 2 children: son, Kevin, and daughter, Kristi. After the children were born, Lynda became a stay at home mother, caring for her family and home. She also sold Avon. In 1997, they purchased their forever home in Elma, Washington. Lynda was an avid bowler, she was in a league for quite some time. She also enjoyed skating and found great pleasure in ceramics, painting, and macramé. A friend of hers owned a ceramics shop, where Lynda spent many hours learning ceramics and painting nature scenes and nativities. Lynda loved working with her hands, she enjoyed gardening, tending to her outdoor plants. She loved being a mother, caring for her family, and fur baby Punkin.
Lynda was loved by many and will greatly be missed.
Lynda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Arthur Fitzgerald, of the family home; son, Kevin (Leah) Fitzgerald, of Grand Mound, Washington; daughter, Kristi Wilder, of Montesano, Washington; 7 grandchildren: Ashley (Travis) Ogen-Vasconcelles, Mariah Foster, Kaylynn “K-Bear” Vincent, Bethaney (Joe) Labbs, Brandon (Rachel) Lester, Zachary (Liz) Lester, and Marissa Sigman; and 8 great-grandchildren: Harley, Zayden, Ethyn, Cheyanne, Brooklyn, Isabel, Charlie, and Alex.
Lynda is preceded in death by her parents, James and Joyce Teasley.
