Derrell D. Daniels passed away on November 28, 2011 in Hoquiam, WA. He was born in Monmouth, Oregon on March 24, 1931 to Melvin and Alice Daniels.
He worked for the Lamb Grays Harbor in Hoquiam for 31 years and 10 years for the James Brinkley Co. of Seattle.
He served in the US Navy during the Korean War, after which he returned to Aberdeen, where he grew up.
Derrell was a Life Member of the Hoquiam Elks Lodge, a Life Member of the American Legion, AARP, and US Human Society.
Derrell is survived by his two children, Teri Moody of Hoquiam and Dean Daniels of Aberdeen; Three grandchildren: Bryce Moody, Susan Moody and Devin Daniels; a great granddaughter Madelyn Pansri; a brother, Jack Ryder, three nieces in Roseville, CA and a sister Jan Soderlind of Tacoma, WA.
He enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up and playing golf.
There will be a celebration of Derrell’s life on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the home of Teri Moody, 502 Upper Grand Ave., Hoquiam, from 1-3 PM.
