Lorena C. Cornett, 71, Cosmopolis, Washington resident and former waitress and caregiver, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Fir Lane Convalescent Center in Shelton, WA.
Lorena was born on July 24, 1950 in Seattle, Washington to Leonard and Carol (Dixon) Swalwell. She grew up in Shoreline, WA. In time she moved to Coverdale, Indiana where on July 8, 2000, she married James Cornett in Greencastle, IN. They moved to Seattle in 2001 and then to Vancouver, WA and then to Bothell, WA before eventually moving to Cosmopolis in 2015.
She worked as a caregiver for AAA of Olympia for 5 years. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Indiana. She enjoyed playing BINGO, sewing, watching movies and just enjoying life.
Lorena is survived by a son, Robert (Margaret) Tangaduhl of Bellingham, WA; two brothers: Duane Stai of Mukilteo, WA and David Stai of Gig Harbor, WA; four grandsons, four granddaughters, and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Shawn Tangaduhl in 2017 and a brother Jimmy Swalwell.
There will be no services.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, WA.
