Michael “Mike” Wayne Clary, 73, passed away suddenly surrounded by family on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Capital Medical Center in Olympia, Washington.

Mike was born on October 3, 1949, to Wayne Clary and Josephine (Breckel) Clary in Shelton, Washington and raised on a farm in Kamilche. He graduated from Shelton High School in 1967 and joined the Navy where he served in Vietnam for 23 months. During that time, he had two children: Sherrell and Janel. After Vietnam, Mike lived in Shelton and his third child was born: Jacob. Over the years Mike helped with his father’s businesses and personal properties as well as working for various companies and starting his own businesses (logging, land clearing, trucking & a dairy farm). Mike enjoyed working, staying busy and watching sports. Once his kids were grown, he moved to McCleary Washington in 1996. He later met Lori (Atack) Clary and they were married in 2010. Mike became a stepfather to Lori’s 3 children: Rob, Jennie & Sean, who he loved and cared for as his own. He loved to tell jokes, he had a wonderful and sarcastic sense of humor.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Josephine (Jo) Clary.

Mike is survived by his wife, Lori Clary; children: Sherell (Jon) Clary-Wright, Janel (Dominic) Miller, and Jacob Clary; stepchildren: Rob (Sabrina) Atack, Jennie (Jason) Staub, and Sean (Ariel) Sexton; brother, Jerry (Holly) Clary; stepsisters: Janet (Bob) Swanson, Pam Willey, Shelley (Dell) Carter, Sherry Erickson, Shawnie (Rick) Rakevich, and step brother Dave Glenn Jr; 17 beautiful grandchildren; aunt: Corrinne Clary; cousin: Don Clary; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
