Alex Jeffery Chinnick, 25, an Elma area resident, died at Providence St. Peter Hospital, Olympia, Monday, July 27, 2015. He was born in Everett, WA on April 4, 1990 and came to Elma to live at the age of 8. He attended Elma schools and graduated from Elma High School in 2010.
He enjoyed the outdoor life, looking for deer and elk and playing with the family’s miniature horses and donkeys.
Alex was always quick with a smile and, according to the family, had a “wicked” sense of humor. He was very good with his hands.
Alex is survived by his parents: Marcia Chinnick and Andrew Walters, Elma; three brothers: Forrest and Dakota Chinnick, both of Elma and Benjamin and wife Anastazja Walters, Sun City, AZ; and two sisters: Amanda and Bethany Chinnick, both of Elma; and his grandparents: Ronald Chinnick, Ocean Shores, WA and Lezlie Shell, Espanola, New Mexico; and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
A celebration of Alex’s life will be held at 11 AM Saturday, August 8th at the Malone Assembly of God Church. Casual colorful dress is suggested. A potluck reception at the church will follow the services.
The family suggests donations can be made at Anchor Bank, Elma branch, in Alex’s name, to help cover final expenses.
