Chester, beloved dog, companion, friend and a big part of our family, passed away peacefully, Friday morning, December 2, 2011.
He was found in the store-front window at Scamp's Pet Shop in South Shore Mall, Aberdeen by Barbara, and it was love at first sight. He was adopted by Doug, December 21, 1997 and held by the store which refused to let Barbara say good-buy to Chester because someone had bought him. Doug gave Chester to his wife Barbara on December 24th.
Chester was Barbara's shadow and everywhere Barbara went, Chester was sure to go!
Chester worked at Fern Hill Funeral Home as our greeter and had the ability to find the family member that was hurting the most and would in his way, comfort them.
Chester enjoyed traveling with his adopted parents. He could most often be found asleep in front of the fireplace in the lobby of Fern Hill.
Chester is survived by his adopted parents, Barbara and Doug; 2 adopted brothers and a sister-in-law; and four nieces and a nephew.
