Daniel John Carroll, 56, a former resident of Aberdeen, died at his home in Brighton, Colorado, Tuesday, October 21, 2014. He was born in Aberdeen July 15, 1958, the son of Richard E. and Joyce A. (Daniels) Carroll. He graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1976 and had worked for the Kawasaki Motorcycle dealer in Aberdeen.
Dan would later work in construction in Seattle for a number of years as a hod carrier, working his way to be a supervisor of masonry work. He went to Colorado in 2013 doing the same work and at the time of his death was the masonry supervisor for the C. Morgan Company in Brighton.
He was a member of the Hod Carriers & General Laborers Local No. 242, Seattle. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, collecting silver and old coins and working on the internet. He also was a great fan of Elvis.
Dan is survived by a sister: Vicki and husband Ron Lutzvick, Cosmopolis; and two brothers: Mark Carroll, Montesano and Rocky Carroll, Seattle. A brother, David, died before him in 1990.
Dan dearly loved his nieces and nephews. He was always the life of the party.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1 PM Saturday, November 8th at the D&R Event Center in downtown Aberdeen.
