David Clarence ‘Dave’ Carlson, 73, Aberdeen resident died Thursday, January 9, 2014 at his home in Aberdeen.
Dave was born on May 24, 1940 in Glenwood, Minnesota to Clarence and Emma (Lundblad) Carlson. In the late 40’s he moved to Sedro Woolley, WA where he graduated from high school. He joined the Air Force and was Honorably Discharged 1959.
On July 6, 1991, Dave married Marilyn Henson Arnold in Aberdeen. She resides at the family home.
Dave is survived by his wife of 22 years, Marilyn Carlson of Aberdeen; two daughters: Dixie and husband Brian Swanson of Elma and Sharon Carlson of Hoquiam; four stepsons: Steve Arnold, Bob Arnold and Paul Arnold all of Aberdeen and Tim Arnold of Hoquiam; a sister Carole Koskiniemi of Minnesota; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dave was preceded in death by a brother Gene Carlson and a sister Pauline Carlson.
There will be a celebration of Dave’s life on Saturday, January 18th at Noon in Fern Hill Funeral Home’s Chapel.
