Eric L. Bunting, 60, Aberdeen resident and former guard at Stafford Creek Correctional Center, passed away on November 2, 2020 at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen.
Eric was born on June 6, 1960 in Columbus, Indiana to Everett and Corrine (Robinson) Bunting. He grew up in Columbus and moved to Texas in 1982. Eric married Cora Griffith on July 23, 1983 in Gregg, TX. They later divorced. He returned to Columbus in 1985. And then to Grays Harbor in 1993 to be with his children. Eric was a perpetual tinkerer and the man that could fix anything. He was an avid collector of antique's and automobiles. His favorite things in this world were riding his Harley feeling free on the road and making people laugh. Eric was known for his big heart; he loved his kids and grandchildren to a fault. Eric is survived by his son Everett wife Rosa and three Grandkids Abagail, Emily Rose, and Zoë Bunting of Garland, TX; Two daughters: Ashley husband Matthew and three grandkids Cora, Henry, and Eleanor Bauman of Kenai, Alaska and Lilly Bunting of Aberdeen, WA; Two brothers: Jay Bunting of Indiana and David Bunting of Texas; two sisters: Angie Hash and Amanda Wright both of Indiana. He was preceded in death by a sister, Amy Bunting.
