Norma Jean Bugher, 81, a longtime Wynooche Valley resident, died Friday evening, August 5, 2011 at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen.
Norma was born on April 5, 1930 to Virgil Melvin and Bessie Elvira (Johnson) Fisher. She grew up and attended school in Aberdeen and on January 6, 1946, Norma married Albert John Bugher in Montesano. She has lived in Wynooche Valley since then. Albert “Boogerman”, as he was known as on the CB, died on November 5, 1992.
Norma loved her family and friends, pets, singing and playing pinochle and driving her Feiro. She enjoyed gardening and was known for her cooking, hospitality and hosting the family reunions. She spent time with her daughter Susan canning and learning how to crochet.
Norma is survived by a son, Kenneth Dean and wife Barb Bugher of Elma; Three daughters: Linda Lee Bugher and husband Dave Maynard of Tok, Alaska, Susan Marie Bugher and husband Leon Morgan of Elma and Sheila Jean Bugher and husband Mike Reed of Aberdeen. Fourteen grandchildren: Tammy, Bonnie, Joe, Kim, Jim, Candy, Steve, Lindee, Rick, Tonja, Clint, Tara, Teresa and Calvin; Thirty-four great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Many numerous nieces and nephews. Sister-In-Laws: Betty Rowland of Vancouver and Cleora Fisher of Aberdeen; and her dearest childhood friend: Diana Balderston of Aberdeen.
Norma was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Fisher, a sister Beverly Dragoo and a grandson, Kenneth Daniel Maynard of Alaska.
There will be a time of visitation on Thursday, August 11th from 1-8 PM at Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen and on Friday from 9-11 AM. A crypt side service will take place on Friday, August 12th at 1 PM at the Fern Hill Colonnades in Fern Hill Cemetery. A potluck reception will follow in the Dorothy Mann Reception Hall at Fern Hill Funeral Home.
