Stephen Brill

Stephen LeRoy Brill, 56, Grayland resident and former Hook Tender, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA.

Stephen was born on June 8, 1962 in Aberdeen, WA to Kenneth L. and Ruth Mrytice (McConnel) Brill. He grew up in Wishkah Valley and attended Wishkah Valley Schools. He joined the Washington National Guard and was later Honorably Discharged.

IN 1983, Stephen married Lorie Bickmore. They later divorced. In 1991, Stephen met Judy Lovell and on January 29, 2005, Stephen married Judy. She resides in Kelso, WA.

He worked for Carter Logging and Hamilton Logging as a hook tender for many years. He then went to work for Washington Crab in Westport as a flatbed truck driver in 2009 till present.

Stephen enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars, clam digging and was a master mechanic. He loved spending time with family and friends.

Stephen is survived by his wife of 13 years, Judy Brill of Kelso, WA; a son Timothy Scott Bickmore of Westport; two brothers: Jerry (Mary) Fanning of Montesano and Kenneth Longozo of Liberty, WA; a sister Carlene Buck of Elma, WA; Step-mother: Lillian Woolsey of Elma, WA; two step-sons: George Lovell of Kalama, WA and Andrew Lovell of Kelso, WA; six grandchildren, three step grandchildren and one great grandson. He was preceded in death by brothers: Arnold Brill and a half-brother Bill Murry.

A celebration potluck of Stephen’s life will be held at Stewart Park in Aberdeen on Saturday, September 8th at Noon.
