Glenda Benson

Glenda Rae Benson, 58, Aberdeen resident and former CNA, died Monday, April 8, 2024, at her home in Aberdeen. Glenda was born on October 28, 1965, in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Melvin and Wanda (Griffith) Benson. Soon after her family moved to Aberdeen where she attended Aberdeen schools. She received her CNA certification and worked at Grays Harbor Community Hospital from 2006-2010. She enjoyed animals (especially her dogs), hiking, camping, stargazing, cloud watching, and being outdoors. She was proud of her native heritage.

She is survived by her daughter, Alexis (Jeremy) Drais, of Elma, and a son, Tyson Lloyd, of Illinois; parents, Melvin and Wanda Benson, of Aberdeen, Washington; brothers: Terry (Barb) Benson, of Tacoma, Washington; and Kevin (Irina) Benson, of Bothell, Washington; sisters: Danette (Allan) Berg, of Stanfield, Oregon; and Chris (Don) Lewin, of Aberdeen, Washington; numerous nieces and nephews; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Brandon Lloyd last month and sister, Cathy Benson before that.
