James “Jim” Marshall Anderson, 65, a long time Westport resident and former bartender passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam, Washington.
Jim was born on October 10, 1958, to parents Lester and Celistine Anderson in Seattle, Washington. Jim graduated from Ballard High School in 1976. He began bartending in the Seattle area when he met Jamie Teeple. The couple courted for 3 years before marrying on February 2,2002, in Westport, Washington. They continued living in King County for a few more years before moving to Grayland, Washington for the next 15 years. Jim and Jamie then moved to Westport, where Jamie continues to reside. Jim began working at Grayland's Local Bar & Grill in August of 2007, where he spent many years before retiring.
Jim enjoyed tinkering with tools. He opened a small business, “J&J Sharpening”, sharpening knives and chainsaws. He loved to stay busy whether organizing or trying new and different hobbies.
Jim is survived by his wife of 21 years, Jamie Anderson, of Westport, Washington; sister, Lisa Douge, of Seattle, Washington; nieces: Patti and Monica Anderson; and sister-in-law, Kathy Anderson.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents; Lester and Celistine Anderson; brothers: Bruce and Gary Anderson; and niece, Maureen Anderson.
