Obituary for Ronald Adam Makos

Ronald Adam Makos, 84, a longtime resident of Cosmopolis died Friday, April. 7, 2023 his home.

Ron was born on August 24, 1938 in Hoquiam, WA to Edward and Wanda (Kozlowski) Makos. He grew up in Aberdeen and graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1957. He joined the US Navy and was stationed in the Mediterranean during the Berlin Crisis.

In 1962 he went to work as a draftsman and salesman for Lamb Grays Harbor in Hoquiam until his retirement in 1999. While working at Lambs he traveled all over the United States, Europe, Japan and Canada. After retiring from Lambs, he then started a consultant company while working with Richard Hall at Hall Manufacturing. They perfected a debaler machine that was responsible for separating baling wire from the pulp bales in the paper industry.

Ron married Candice J. Gobat in Cosmopolis in 1965. She resides at the family home in Cosmopolis.

Ron was an avid Golfer and enjoyed fishing.

Ron is survived by his wife of 58 years, Candice Makos of Cosi; a daughter, Kerry Lynn (Brian) Fuller of Aberdeen; a granddaughter, Madilyn Michael McKay of Cosi. Ron was preceded in death by his daughter and her husband, Dawn Elizabeth and Dale Andrews; a brother, Lawrence E. Makos in 1979.

There will be no services. The family suggests that donations be made to Pilot Dogs, Inc., 625 W. Town St., Columbus, Ohio 43215
