Obituary for Robert Allen Lowdermilk III

Robert Allen Lowdermilk III, 42, of Aberdeen Washington, passed away unexpectedly on January 24, 2023.
Robert was born in Aberdeen to Robert Allen Lowdermilk, Jr. and Valerie Hongell on April 28, 1980. He was raised by his mother, KleeAnn Lowdermilk and father, Robert Lowdermilk, Jr. (Linda). Robert attended schools in Hoquiam and after school continued to live in Grays Harbor near his family and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his Grandmothers Florence Hongell, Eleonore Lowdermilk, Bernice Kehn, Alice Cox, and Georgia Lowdermilk; his Grandfather Dewey Cox; Uncles Ronnie Lester Jr. and Jimmy Ray Kangas-Lowdermilk; Aunt Ellie Lowdermilk; first cousins Danny Mathis, Jr., and Jimmy Johnson.
Robert Allen Lowdermilk III is survived by his Fiancée Bobby Jo Emery, and their sweet dog, Rebel. Robert leaves behind his children David, Jessica, and Aiden. He was very proud of being a father, grandfather, and an uncle. He is also survived by his father; Bobby (Robert) Lowdermilk, Jr. (stepmother Linda) and mother, KleeAnn Lowdermilk; his siblings, Jessica Lowdermilk-Vessey (brother-in-law Joshua), Leisa Lowdermilk, Donny Carner, Jr., Michael Carner, Nicole Rasmussen, Damien Rasmussen, Alyssa Kohler, and Gary; grandparents, Arlette Lester, Robert and Iris Gates, and Robert Allen Lowdermilk Sr. He is also survived by a large extended family that includes many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. All love and miss him very much.
Robert was well known for spending his time on the muddy Southside banks of the Chehalis River. He would wander shirtless hunting for unique treasures, such as interesting rocks, old bottles, or special driftwood pieces to gift to those he loved and to others who he thought needed something special. Robert was known for numerous things, but few knew the true Robert. He loved to cook and was also a skilled artist, with a talent for drawing and writing, and leaving heartfelt notes for those he cared about. His love of adventure took him on many driving expeditions, always with his favorite band, the Scorpions, playing in the background. He loved exploring new places.
Robert’s love of fitness was a testament to his discipline and dedication. He often showed off his push-up skills, and he spent hours watching workout videos for inspiration. Robert trained and participated in MMA (mixed martial arts), fighting locally. He enjoyed going to the casino, especially with his Grandpa Lowdermilk, who taught him the art of Blackjack. Robert loved to spend time with his father, Bobby Lowdermilk, at home laughing and playing darts together.
Robert’s family has experienced an overwhelming outpouring of love during this tragedy. It has reaffirmed to them that his pure heart, helping hand, and strong desire to protect those in need was apparent to all. Hearts are heavy with the loss of Robert’s contagious smile, distinct laugh, and ability to always make those around him feel loved. Robert was a man who even in his darkest times could bring so much light into the world.
It was a joy for his family to watch Robert find pride and self-love of himself and his accomplishments, especially in the past year because he had reached 185 days in active recovery. That knowledge has helped give the family some feeling of peace with his sudden passing.
Please join us to celebrate the life of Robert Allen Lowdermilk III on April 29th at the Cosmopolis Lions Club at 1pm (601 2nd St. Cosmopolis, WA 98537). In lieu of flowers, a donation of dog food or a toy, for his dog Rebel who Robert loved dearly and who misses him very much (a large breed female) would be appreciated.
