Obituary for Miguel Angel Torres
Miguel Angel Torres, 60, Aberdeen resident and landscaper for Seabrook, died Friday, March 24, 2023, at Auburn Regional Medical Center in Auburn, WA.
Miguel was born on October 11, 1962, in Puebla, Mexico to Rosendo and Guadalupe (Herrera) Torres. He moved to Aberdeen when he was 17 and has been here ever since.
He married Rufina Oropeza on April 9, 2005, in Aberdeen. She resides at the family home.
He has worked as a landscaper for most of his life and for the last 5 years for Seabrook. He enjoyed working in his garden, playing soccer and playing with his grandkids.
Miguel is survived by his wife, Rufina Oropeza of Aberdeen; two sons: Marco (Yecenia) Torres and Miguel Torres Jr. all of Aberdeen; three daughters: Leydi Oropeza of Hoquiam, Cristina Torres and Selina Torres both of Aberdeen; Two sisters: Maria Torres of Oklahoma and Mercedes Torres of Mexico; 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in 2021 by his daughter Vanessa Torres-Oropeza.
A funeral Mass will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aberdeen, WA on Friday, March 31, 2023, at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at Fern Hill Cemetery, Aberdeen, WA
