Obituary for Theodore "Ted" Bozak

Theodore Bozak, 98, a loving husband, cherished dad and grandpa, died peacefully Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Capital Place in Olympia, WA.
Ted was born on September 27, 1921 in East Hoquiam, Washington to Jacob and Sophia (Sudor) Bozak. He graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1940Upon Graduation Ted went to work for Grays Harbor Chair Factory from 1940-42. He entered the Navy in 1942 and proudly served in the South Pacific aboard the USS Indiana. After the end of WWII, he was honorably discharged and with the help of the GI Bill, Ted went to school and trained to be an auto mechanic. Throughout his career, he worked for Dahlby Rambler, Huffman Motors, Crosstown Motors and Montgomery Ward Auto Shop. He retired in 1983.
On February 22, 1947, Theodore married the love of his life, Patricia Pierecy in Aberdeen. They were married for 63 years before she passed away in 2010.
He attended New Beginnings Church in Aberdeen and was a benefit member of the Aberdeen Eagles Aerie #204. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ted also enjoyed doing yard work around home and having coffee and conversations in the afternoons at McDonald’s with his coffee klatch.
Ted is survived by a son Michael (Tara) Bozak of Aberdeen; two daughters: Jennifer (Brian) Hurley of Olympia and Tamatha (Leagh) Yunker of Tumwater; Five grandchildren: Michael, Bryan, Kyle, Chad and Kasey; Three Great Grandchildren: Emee, Mila, and Theo; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia; brothers: John, Tom, Frank, Joseph, Woodrow and Victor Bozak; sisters: Antonia Farnus, Wanda Gross and Dorothy Hawkes.
A celebration of life will be held once all can attend. Details will follow in The Daily World.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, WA.
