Obituary for Kristina Lynn Hagen

Kristina (Krysti) Lynn Hagen, 12/28/1979 to 6/4/2018. She died at home due to an enlarged heart. She graduated from Sultan High School, Sultan, Washington, in 1998. She has been living in Hoquiam, WA, for the past several years.

Krysti was a “gentle spirit”, but also a “social butterfly”. She loved to sing and dance from an early age. Her favorite movie, when she was little, was “Dirty Dancing” with Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze. She would play the movie several times a day, every day, singing and dancing with the actors. When she was in high school, she loved her choir class, and later in life, her favorite thing to do was go to the Karaoke Bars to express her love of singing, which included Country to Pop songs.

Krysti and James met on line and corresponded for two weeks. They decided to meet for the first time at a beach near Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, WA on 7/31/2009. They talked and walked for hours and realized they both wanted to continue their relationship.

Krysti always wanted to be a “Mom” and built a maternal connection with “Little James” and Aaliyah. She became their second “Mom”, being very supportive to both kids by going to James’ basketball games and checking with Aaliyah to see what new hobbies she was doing, even though they got on her nerves at times.

Krysti was friendly to everyone. While James was still in the Army and deployed in Iraqi for a year and she didn’t have transportation to work at the local AM/PM Mini Market, both customers and friends made sure she had a way to work. All the people who knew her said “how warm her heart” was.

My baby has joined the angels, dancing and singing with the choir. She is no longer tethered to this earth, but can fly where ever she wants!

Krysti is survived by her soulmate, James Tellis; his two children, James III and Aaliyah (Hoquiam, WA); her father: Ronnie Hagen and wife, Ellen (Arlington, WA); her mother, Jacquelyn Miner and husband, Earl (Gold Bar, WA); her siblings: Debi and Tanya (Chelan, WA), Mike (Sultan, WA), Robert (Big Lake, WA), Evie “Angel” and Shawne of Camano Island, WA, and Josh (Arlington, WA).

There are two “Celebrations of Life” pot luck gatherings planned:
For those that can make it to Hoquiam, WA, the first Celebration of Life will be on 7/21/2018, 2:00 p.m., in the Club House at Hoquiam River RV Park, 425 Queen Avenue, Hoquiam, WA 98550.

The second Celebration of Life will be hosted by Ron and Ellen Hagen, 6933 272nd Street NE, Arlington, WA 98223, on 8/18/2018, 1:00 p.m.

All that knew Krysti are welcome to attend and bring a dish and good memories to share.
