Obituary for Tammy Renee Schaffert (Mayer)

Tammy Renee Schaffert, 56, resident of Aberdeen and supervisor at Walmart in Aberdeen, died at her home on Saturday, March 10, 2018.
Tammy was born on June 13, 1961 in Richmond, CA. She lived in California, Oklahoma and Portland prior to moving to Montesano in 1973. She was a 1979 graduate of Montesano High School. She moved to Edmonds for a couple of years and then to Olympia and then back to Montesano. She moved to Central Park 13 years ago.
On April 14, 1984, Tammy married Patrick Michael Schaffert in the Montesano First Baptist Church. He resides at the family home.
Tammy worked for Walmart for over 24 years. Before that she had worked as an aide at Westhaven.
Tammy loved crafting, drawing and watching “Murder She Wrote” and “Diagnosis Murder”. She enjoyed reading Steven King and James Patterson novels.
Tammy is survived by her husband of 33 years, Patrick Schaffert of Central Park; her father Forest Mayer of Montesano; a son Jonathan Schaffert of Marysville, WA, a daughter, Kelly Robyn Schaffert of Aberdeen, and a step-daughter, Patty Goodman of Havre, MT; a sister, Shawna Parrott of Crystal Lake, Ill; three grandchildren: Alex, Caitlyn and Dylan; niece Kali Jackson of Kansas City, MO and a nephew Zac Jackson of Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by a brother Ken Mayer and her mother Jean Mayer.
There will be a celebration of Tammy’s life on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 1:00 PM in Fern Hill Funeral Home’s Chapel.
