Obituary for Theophil Fredrick "Bud" Klukas

Theophil F. “Bud” Klukas, 91, a 21 year resident of Ocean Shores, died at Grays Harbor Community Hospital, Aberdeen, Tuesday, June 21, 2016. He was born in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota, May 12, 1925, the son of Julius and Anna (Bubolz) Klukas.
He graduated from Buffalo Lake High School and served in the US Navy during World War Two. He would receive a degree from the University of Minnesota.
In 1948 he married Betty Miller in Minneapolis. She preceded him in death in Ocean Shores in 2005.
Bud was an avionics technician and would work for Honeywell, Lockheed, Boeing and the Federal Government. During his career he had worked on the avionics for the SR-71 at Palmdale, CA. He retired and came to Ocean Shores in 1988.
At Ocean Shores he could be found easily at his favorite pastime, golf.
Bud is survived by a son: David, Ocean Shores; a sister: Ruth Doerr, Hutchinson, MN; and three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two sons: Randy and Gary Klukas, and brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 4 PM Sunday, July 10th at the Ocean Shores Golf Course Clubhouse.
